Kerf is a new, local handyman business for Greater Bendigo, Castlemaine and the towns along the Calder between them. We fix doors and fit hardware, hang shelves, mirrors and TVs, build and anchor flat-pack, and patch and repair the small damage every house collects.

We don't have a portfolio of past jobs or a wall of praise to show you, and we won't invent one. What we can show you is the job sheet: every job, how it will be fixed and every line of the price, in writing.

• Fix rather than replace, when fixing is the better value; we'll say so.

• No extra work without your yes.

• Plumbing, electrical or gas work of any kind, including power points.
• Structural work, new openings or anything holding the house up.
• Drilling, cutting or sanding suspect asbestos sheeting or old lead paint.
• Roof work, or anything above single-storey ladder height.
• Building jobs big enough to need a registered builder, and pool fencing.
